The 73rd Independence Day of India was celebrated by the Indian Community in Luanda, Angola on the morning of 15 August 2019, at the chancery premises of the Embassy of India.
After unfurling of the National Flag, Ambassador Shri Srikumar Menon read out Hon'ble President of India's address to the nation - partly in English and in Hindi.
Besides Embassy officials and families, the ceremony was attended by about 150 persons - representing a cross-section of the vibrant local Indian community in Luanda and Friends of India. Here are snippets from the event.
